RideMeetup (“we,” “us”) helps riders find and organize local e‑bike group rides. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
To run the service: show rides and riders near you, let you message and RSVP, and keep the community safe. We do not sell your personal information.
We use Google Firebase (sign‑in, database, hosting) and map providers (OpenStreetMap, Esri, CARTO, BLM) to display maps. They process data only as needed to deliver their services.
Edit or remove your profile, turn off location sharing, and delete your account anytime from the You tab. To request data deletion, email us.
RideMeetup is intended for riders 13 and older. If you are under 18, please ride with a parent or guardian’s permission.

By using RideMeetup you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
You must be at least 13 and provide accurate information. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
Cycling and meeting other riders involve inherent risks, including injury. RideMeetup is a listing and messaging tool only — we do not organize, lead, supervise, insure, or vet rides or riders, and we are not responsible for any ride, meetup, or the conduct of any user. You participate entirely at your own risk. Always wear a helmet, obey traffic laws, ride within your ability, and meet in public places.
You own and are responsible for what you post. Don’t post anything illegal, harassing, hateful, dangerous, or that isn’t yours to share. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules or our community guidelines.
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee rides will happen, that information is accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RideMeetup and its operators are not liable for any injury, loss, or damages arising from rides, meetups, user conduct, or use of the service.
We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms or harm the community.
We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the changes.

Ride smart
How we keep rides safe.
Build a real rider profile with badges. See who you’re rolling out with before you go.
Every group ride is headed by a vetted leader. Look for the ✓ badge before you roll out.
We only ever use public, well-lit landmarks — never private homes or exact addresses.
Built around group rides — meet up with the whole pack, not strangers one-on-one.
One tap to report or block anyone, plus active moderation and a clear code of conduct.
Helmets encouraged on every ride. We surface local e-bike class rules and road laws before you ride.
The fine print

1. Accepting these terms. By using RideMeetup you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. Who can use RideMeetup. You must be at least 13 years old to use RideMeetup. If you're under 18, use it only with a parent or guardian's permission, and always follow your local laws on e-bike use and minimum riding age.
3. Your account. Keep your login secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account and for the accuracy of your profile.
4. Community rules. Don't post content that is illegal, sexual, hateful, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate, and don't impersonate others. Meet only at public, well-lit places, ride safely, wear a helmet, and obey all traffic and e-bike laws. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules.
5. Your content. You keep ownership of what you post, but you grant RideMeetup a licence to display it within the app. You're responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to share it.
6. Rides happen in the real world — ride at your own risk. RideMeetup only helps people find and organise group rides. We do not run, supervise, or vet rides or riders, and we are not responsible for any injury, loss, damage, or interaction that happens before, during, or after a meetup. Use your own judgement and ride responsibly.
7. Service "as is". RideMeetup is provided as-is, without warranties. We may change, pause, or stop features at any time.

What we collect. Your sign-in details (email, and if you use Google, your name and profile photo); profile info you add (display name, e-bike, bio, area); your approximate location only if you turn on "Riders near you" (rounded to roughly 20 miles — never your exact location); content you post (rides, clips, comments); and basic technical data needed to run the app.
How we use it. To operate RideMeetup — show rides, riders and clips, let people connect, and keep the community safe.
What others can see. Content you post (rides, clips, comments, and your public profile) is visible to other users. Your approximate area is shown only if you opt in. We do not sell your personal data.
Service providers. We use Google Firebase to host data and handle sign-in; your data is processed by Google under their terms.
On your device. We store your theme choice and sign-in session locally so the app works smoothly.
Your choices. You can edit or remove your profile and content at any time. To delete your account and associated data, email us.
Children. RideMeetup is for ages 13 and up. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13 — contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes & contact. We may update this policy. Questions or requests: pxlturtle15@gmail.com.
